Soufïa Bensaïd

Born in 1970, lives and works in Ghar El Mehl (Tunisia)

A self-taught artist and trained engineer, Soufïa Bensaïd has navigated diverse cultural, social, and professional contexts: Tunisia—where she was born, France—where she studied, and Quebec—where she resides. This journey has shaped an evolving sense of identity, prompting her to explore perceptual dissonances and the existential and identity-based foundations of the self. Since 2009, she has fully dedicated herself to her artistic practice. Her work has taken the form of exhibitions, performances, workshops, public space interventions, publications, and artist residencies in Canada, the United States, Italy, Spain, France, Finland, Cyprus, India, and Tunisia.

Béchir Boussandel

Born in 1984, lives and works between Paris (France) and Tunis (Tunisia)

Beshir Boussandel is a Franco-Tunisian visual artist born in France. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Dunkerque, he began his artistic journey with installation before shifting his focus to painting. His work explores memory, identity, and spatiality through a refined sensitivity to material, light, and colour. He has exhibited in numerous galleries and institutions across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. In 2025, he held his first solo show at the B7L9 Art Station in Tunisia and made his debut in Tokyo. His works are included in prestigious collections such as the MACAAL (Marrakech), the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Culture, the City of Paris, and the Deji Art Museum (China).

Férielle Doulain-Zouari

Born in 1992, lives and works in Tunis (Tunisia)

Férielle Doulain-Zouari is a Franco-Tunisian artist. After studying textile design at ENSAMAA Olivier de Serres and ESAA Duperré in Paris, she completed her first residency at Santa Rosa Factoria Gallery in Chile—an experience that marked her transition from applied to visual arts. She settled in Tunis in 2015 and often relocates her studio to follow collaborative opportunities, particularly with artisans and workers. Her work has been featured at Dream City, La Boîte, and Jaou in Tunis, at the Angers Museum, and at the Biennial of Arts and Architecture in Centre-Val de Loire (France), as well as at the Louvre Abu Dhabi as part of Art Here 2024. In 2021, she received the second prize of the Dakar Biennale “Révélation,” awarded by the Senegalese Ministry of Culture. She has been represented by the Septième Gallery in Paris since 2020. Her installations, sculptures, and woven pieces are rooted in everyday life, drawing inspiration from industrial materials, functional objects, local flora, and systems of daily resilience.

Wissem El-Abed

Sahar El Echi

Born in 1992, lives and works in Tunis (Tunisia)

Sahar El Eshi is a Tunisian filmmaker and visual artist. A graduate of the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis (ISBAT), her work centers on photography, video, and cinema. She explores the relationship between the individual and their environment, probing its visual and socio-political dimensions. She has taken part in several prestigious programs and residencies, including the Documentary Film Methods program at the Danish Film School (2019), Durban Talents, the Fiminco Foundation (2023), and the Atelier de l’Observatoire in Morocco. Her most recent film, Bord à Bord, won the Bronze Tanit at the Carthage Film Days and was selected by renowned international festivals such as the Red Sea International Film Festival, FESPACO, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and the Marché du Film at Cannes.

Abir Gasmi & Kamal Zakour

Born in 1986, live and work in Tunis (Tunisia)

An engineer by training, Abir Gasmi turned to writing in 2011, becoming a screenwriter for film and comic books. In 2014, she published her first graphic novel, Oblation, illustrated by Moez Tabia and published by Pop Libris, which received an award at the Algiers International Comic Book Festival. She has since published further graphic novels such as The Awakening of a Nation, collaborated with various Tunisian NGOs, and led comic art workshops. A member of the LAB619 collective, she works closely with a range of illustrators. Together with Kamal Zakour, she received the Mahmoud Kahil Award (Comic Strip category) in Beirut and the CairoComix Award in 2018. In 2023, she was awarded the Grand Prize at the Algiers International Comic Book Festival and the FABA Award for Best Arabic Novel for the graphic novel Point Zero.

Wadi Mhiri

Born in 1965, lives and works in Tunis (Tunisia)

Wadi Mhiri is a multidisciplinary Tunisian artist whose practice encompasses fashion design, ceramics, photography, video, and installation. As both scenographer and exhibition curator, he weaves together aesthetics, imagination, and performativity with a deep semiotic inquiry, exploring the signs, objects, and narratives that shape our perception of the world. A passionate advocate for artistic creation and transmission, he is the founder of The Little Prince’s Journey festival. His work has been shown internationally, including in Venezuela, France, Germany, Algeria, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mauritania, Mali, and the Seychelles. He has curated numerous exhibitions in his capacity as scenographer, notably for the Segou’Art Festival (2016–2025). In 2024, he took part in the Dream City project in partnership with the Sharjah Biennial, producing site-specific interventions across seven emblematic locations in the Medina of Tunis..

Olfa Trabelsi

Born in 1978, lives and works in Tunis (Tunisia)

Olfa Trabelsi is a designer and consultant specializing in the development of artisanal products. As co-founder of the TINHINAN brand, she promotes Tunisian craftsmanship by working directly with artisans to preserve traditional techniques while creating high-quality handmade goods. In 2023, she co-curated the HIRAFAN exhibition in Tunisia with Ludovic Delalande, collaborating with artists such as Sarah Ouhadou, Zineb Sedira, and Aïcha Snoussi. That same year, she produced a technical catalogue for the fashion house ALAÏA, documenting weaving techniques using natural Tunisian materials such as palm leaves and alfalfa fiber. Trabelsi stands out for her ability to merge design, artistic direction, and artisanal know-how, combining heritage with a contemporary and innovative vision.
