Ayman Boujlida is a multi-award-winning Tunisian drummer and composer, acclaimed for his innovative fusion of jazz, electronic, classical, and North African folk music. Trained in Tunisia and later in India under master percussionist Dr. Ghatam Karthik, he went on to refine his craft in New York, earning a degree from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Celebrated by jazz legend Jimmy Cobb for his command of complex rhythms, Ayman has performed on international stages across the globe. After more than a decade in New York City, he returned to Tunisia, where he continues to weave his cultural heritage with global soundscapes and promote intercultural dialogue through music.
Benjemy - Haï
Benjemy is a Tunisian DJ, producer, and PhD candidate in modern literature whose work bridges contemporary electronic music and Arab traditions to craft immersive, multisensory performances. His artistic approach blends live music, poetry, and interactive technologies to explore the tensions between modernity and cultural legacy.
His creations are distinguished by a continuous search for new narrative forms, integrating reimagined traditional sounds with rich electronic textures. Whether performing solo or collaborating with others, Benjemy delivers powerful stage experiences where technology and poetry meet. He has performed in Belgium, France, Germany, Egypt, and Morocco, asserting a modern reimagining of Arab musical heritage with a distinctive and forward-thinking vision.
Broua
Broua is a six-piece ensemble that offers a refreshing fusion of traditional Tunisian sounds with influences from jazz, blues, and Latin music. Their songs delve into themes of identity, nostalgia, and self-discovery, guiding listeners through a journey shaped by the band’s personal experiences and cultural roots.
Since forming in 2022, Broua has appeared on numerous stages and at major festivals, earning a reputation for vibrant and emotionally resonant live performances. In March 2024, they released their debut album Esfer. They are currently working on their second album as part of the Elyssa project, Walk Free | Hor El Ensen, set for release in late June 2025.
Mohamed Khachnaoui – Dendri Stambeli Movement
Mohamed Khashnawi is a Tunisian musician and drummer deeply immersed in the world of Stambeli and the wider traditions of Tunisian folk music. A sonic explorer of texture and trance, he has developed a distinctive musical language that bridges ancestral vocal and instrumental forms with contemporary drumming techniques.
In 2015, he founded the Dendri Stambeli Movement, a creative platform for research and collaboration that unites artists from the Stambeli tradition with contemporary music scenes. With a practice that is both respectful of heritage and boldly innovative, Mohamed has brought his work to national and international stages, including festivals and events in Morocco, Canada, South Africa, Zanzibar, and Tunisia—asserting a singular artistic identity rooted in tradition and open to the world.
ISLEM JEMAI
Born in Médenine in 1994, Islem Jemai began singing at the age of 11 and launched his professional career by 15, performing within traditional music contexts. With a strong foundation in music, he moved to Tunis to pursue a degree in music and musicology, during which he focused on a geo-musical study of traditional singing practices from his native region.
While his core repertoire is Arab-oriental music, Islem draws deeply from jazz, electronic, rock, and post-rock influences. Through his compositions, he seeks to shape a distinct vocal identity and develop a language that is uniquely his own.
