The Elyssa project is an initiative of the French Institute in Tunisia supported by the Fonds Equipe France. It provides an opportunity for artists based in Tunisia to express their creativity while benefiting from structured professional support.

Elyssa was created as a platform where artistic creation and cultural entrepreneurship can come together. Designed as a stepping stone for Tunisian visual artists and musicians, Elyssa offers support from the initial concept stage through to the practical implementation of artists’ initiatives.

Elyssa’s ambition is to provide creators with the resources they require to develop, refine and experiment with their ideas, and ultimately bring them to fruition and promote them. Beyond simple financial support, Elyssa aims to foster a close relationship with artists, offering them the guidance, framework, time, and means to reach their full potential.

Elyssa also serves as a dynamic community, bringing together emerging and established artists, mentors, experts, trainers, residency structures, industry professionals and the public, all committed to building a thriving cultural ecosystem.

Together, they embody a bold, creative, and vibrant Tunisian cultural scene.

Elyssa Celebrates Music – June 20 & 21, 2025

The French Institute of Tunisia (IFT) is organizing the event “Elyssa Celebrates Music”, which will take place on June 20 and 21, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, at the International Cultural Center of Hammamet (Dar Sebastian). This event is part of the Elyssa project, a support program dedicated to contemporary artistic creation in Tunisia.

“Elyssa Celebrates Music” represents the highlight of the musical component of the Elyssa project. These two evenings of public concerts mark the conclusion of the support cycle and offer the 12 selected musical projects the opportunity to present the results of their work for the first time to a wider audience, within a professional setting.

The concerts will be spread over two consecutive evenings, with an alternating program across two stages, ensuring equal visibility for all artists. This final showcase serves as a platform to highlight the diversity of contemporary Tunisian music.

The exhibition

The French Institute of Tunisia is pleased to present the exhibition “Parcours I مسارات”, held from September 26 to October 11, 2025, across the French Institute of Tunisia and the Palais Kheireddine – Musée de la Ville de Tunis. This exhibition is part of the Elyssa project, a program supporting contemporary artistic creation in Tunisia.

ONE EXHIBITION, TWO VENUES, TWENTY ARTISTS

The exhibition represents one of the highlights of the Elyssa project. After several months of guidance and mentorship with Creativalue and Jiser, the artists showcase their works in progress to both art professionals and the general public.

Spread across the gallery of the French Institute of Tunisia and the first floor of Palais Kheireddine, the exhibition functions as an open studio.
